Event Summary

Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) is the premier gathering place for major national and international manufacturers, sub-contractors and service companies serving the global aerospace industry. Over the last three shows, FIA has grown through the inclusion of associated sectors and now Space, Aviation Security, Unmanned Air Systems (UAS), skills and innovation are an integral part of the show.

FIA 2018 will include over 1500 exhibitors from 40 countries, including over 350 companies from the U.S. The 2018 Exhibitors List is now available for viewing. Also in attendance will be around 70 delegations from 46 countries with over 100 aircraft participating in both static display and flying. There were 107,000 trade attendees over five days at FIA 2016. FIA 2018 will also feature a number of conferences and events hosted by ADS, Aviation Week and exhibitors.

There will be over 17 U.S. States participating at Farnborough in 2018 showcasing their state’s cutting-edge aerospace companies.

Trade days are Monday, 16 July through Friday, 20 July. On Monday the show is open from 10am to 4pm with the flying display beginning at 1:30pm. Tuesday through Friday the show is open from 9:30am to 5:30pm with the flying display beginning at 2:15pm.

USA Partnership Pavilion

Kallman Worldwide is again the proud organizer and host of the USA Partnership Pavilion. Over 150 U.S. companies and over 22 U.S. States and Economic Development Offices will be displaying the latest in aerospace technology throughout Halls 2, 3 and 4.

The USA Partnership Pavilion Opening Ceremony will be conducted on Monday afternoon in Hall 2 at 3 pm. The opening ceremony always draws a distinguished crowd of Senators, Governors and senior U.S. Cabinet and Defense Officials. The USA Partnership Pavilion Meeting Point is located in Hall 2 at stand 2145 where you can meet and network with top level executives from the aerospace industry and the Department of Defense.

Dedication to WWI Heroes

Brookwood American Cemetery and Memorial

Sunday, July 15, 2018

Brookwood is an American Battlefield Memorial Commission (ABMC) managed cemetery located between Farnborough and London. On the Sunday afternoon before the opening of the Farnborough Airshow, Kallman Worldwide will lead American government, military and industry leaders, including Congressional delegates, to attend a private memorial service honoring the heroism and ultimate sacrifice of the 476 WWI U.S. servicemen and women interred here.

Red “Buddy” poppies, long a symbol of the war, will be handed out to all participants to wear in memoriam during the show week. The poppy symbol will also be incorporated into the USA Partnership Pavilion logo on-site at Farnborough as an additional tribute to the sacrifices made by so many for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Meet-The-Buyer

The Meet-the-Buyer event hosted by the organizers of the Farnborough International Airshow will introduce your company to those who are currently searching for new business partners.  For the 2018 Meet-the-Buyer edition, FIA is looking to build on the success from FIA 2016 where 173 companies participated, over 1600 meetings took place and more than $15m worth of business was generated.  

The event will provide direct access to companies that are looking to form new business relationships.  Participating companies are matched with potential partners in a series of pre-planned meetings allowing you to maximize time spent at the show. Delegations Program

All exhibitors, including SMEs, can take advantage of the comprehensive international Delegations Programs. The Military Delegations Program is world renowned and long established at FIA.  The Commercial Delegations Program has grown rapidly since its introduction in 2012. Deadline to register is May 20.

Personal introductions to key decision makers and influencers, not generally accessible to the open market, are facilitated putting you directly in front of the right people.

Receptions

Most receptions associated with the Farnborough International Airshow are by invitation only.

The Farnborough Welcome Reception, hosted by the show organizers, is held on Monday evening and offers networking opportunities for more than 1,200 fellow industry professionals, government officials and international delegations. This reception provides a setting to informally meet with key decision makers, make referrals and exchange business leads at the very start of the busy Farnborough week.

Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) will host two separate receptions during the show:

President’s Reception

The AIA President’s Reception is an exclusive, executive reception with high-level U.S. government officials, AIA member company executives and foreign delegations to the Farnborough International Air Show.

U.S. Industry Reception
Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2018
Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Location: Kensington Palace

The U.S. Industry Reception is the largest reception for the U.S. delegation at the Farnborough International Air Show.  The event is attended by premiere civil aviation, space and defense companies as well as U.S. government executives.  The reception will be held at Kensington Palace in London.

Registration for these events opens May 16.
