Join the U.S. Cyber Security Trade Mission to Canada

September 11-14, 2017

The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), is organizing a Cyber Security Trade mission to three locations in Canada: Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, September 11-14, 2017. The purpose of the mission is to introduce U.S. firms to Canada’s expanding opportunities within the Cyber Security industry, and to assist U.S. companies in pursuing export opportunities in this sector.

The mission is designed for all U.S. firms and organizations who play a part in the industry, regardless of specific niche. This mission will also help U.S. companies already doing business within the Canadian market to increase their footprint and broaden their business interests.

Mission Goals

The goals of the Cyber-Security Mission are to provide U.S. participants with first-hand market information, and one-on-one meetings with business contacts, including potential partners, so that they can position themselves to enter or expand their presence in the market. As such, the mission will focus on helping U.S. companies obtain market information and establish business and government contacts.

The mission will also facilitate first-hand market exposure and access to government decision makers and key private-sector industry contacts, especially potential partners. It will provide opportunities for participants to have policy and regulatory framework discussions in order to advance U.S. cybersecurity sector interests. It will provide participants with an opportunity to meet with local Information Technology trade associations, to foster long-term partnerships, and to share best practices.

In Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, the mission will focus on identifying potential partners and opportunities for U.S. companies to gain a share of the large market in this mega-region. Delegates will turn their attention to the region’s emergence as development center for IT projects that focus on U.S.-Canada joint development agreements, thereby creating great opportunity for delegates.
