Trade Americas—Business Opportunities in Latin America Conference

Trade Americas - Business Opportunities in Latin America Conference to be held at the InterContinental - The Wharf Hotel in Washington, DC on August 19, 2019 where you will learn about Business Opportunities in the Western Hemisphere region.

U.S. exports to Western Hemisphere accounted for 43.7% of overall U.S. exports in 2018. So, investing time and effort to increase market share or identify new export markets in the region is a great opportunity.

You will be able to meet one-on-one with U.S. commercial diplomats from 25 U.S. Embassies/countries in the region: Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay. These meetings will provide the opportunity to narrow down your efforts in the region and select the best markets to approach.

You can also meet with business service providers who can speak to following topics: Export Finance, Logistics, Legal and Intellectual Property, Export Compliance, Trade Barriers and Advocacy, and Marketing. Registered companies will have multiple networking opportunities during the conference.

(*)The day after the conference, companies participating in the Trade Mission, will travel to the Central America for their Business to Business meetings in the confirmed markets.

The deadline to apply for the upcoming Trade Mission to Central America is fast approaching (June 28th) and we wanted to make sure you don't miss this great opportunity.

Central America is a growing market for United States exports, and U.S. products are highly accepted in the region with more than 46 million potential customers. U.S. exports to Central America totaled more than $30 billion in 2018.

Location: Washington, DC (Conference), Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, and Panama (Trade Mission).

Cost*:

  • Conference Only: $500 per participant
  • Conference plus B2B Meetings in One Country: $2,500 for small and medium sized enterprises** / $3,500 for large firms**
  • Conference plus B2B Meetings in Two Countries • $3,500 for small and medium sized enterprises** / $4,500 for large firms**

*Expenses for travel, transportation, lodging, most meals, and incidentals will be the responsibility of each mission participant.
