The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for professionals who sell products related to the offshore oil and gas industries. The conference attracts delegations from more than 100 countries.

The U.S. Department of Commerce is excited to offer U.S. exhibitors at the 2019 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) services to assist in entering or increasing their presence in international markets!


Showtime offers you a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with our Commercial Specialists from U.S. Embassies and Consulates who have recruited delegations of vetted, legitimate buyers from their markets to attend OTC 2018. You will be briefed on individual market opportunities and challenges related to the offshore oil and gas industries sectors and market potential for your products & services. All meetings will last 30 minutes.

Additionally, representatives from the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), the Export-Import Bank of the United States (ExIm) and Industry and Analysis (I&A) will be available for meetings.

  • SBA provides a number of financial assistance programs for small businesses that have been specifically designed to meet key financing needs, including debt financing, surety bonds, and equity financing.
  • EXIM fills in the gap for American businesses by equipping them with the financing tools necessary to compete for global sales when private sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing.
  • I&A will offer market intelligence to U.S. companies attending OTC 2018. The OEEI analyst will provide a briefing on the 2017 Upstream Oil and Gas Equipment Top Markets Report produced by ITA, which looks at priority markets and evaluates the market potential for 151 countries. In addition, the OEEI analyst will be available to discuss market prospects in countries not highlighted in the 2017 Upstream Oil and Gas Equipment Top Markets Report, as well as other tools and resources offered by I&A to U.S. exporters in the oil and gas industry.
  • USAID Power Africa is a U.S. Government-led initiative comprised of 12 U.S. Government Departments and Agencies, 140 private sector companies, and 16 bilateral and multilateral development partners. The Power Africa model accelerates investment into power generation projects in sub-Saharan Africa and promotes U.S. companies with innovative, proven technologies and solutions to tackle the challenge of energy poverty and electricity access across sub-Saharan Africa.

Showtime appointments will take place at the NRG ARENA, Second Level, Room 3 from 9-5 pm Tuesday, May 7 from 9am-5pm. Meetings will last 25 minutes. There is no fee to participate.

You must be a U.S. company to register for this program. All products and services must be at least 51% U.S. content.
