Gold Key Service – matchmaking appointments

The Gold Key Service provides U.S. firms traveling to a foreign market with up to five pre-screened appointments to establish relationships with potential overseas agents, distributors, sales representatives, business partners and other local entities in-country.

Standard package (identify the contacts, arrange the meetings, and our staff attends the meeting with you):

  • Small Business(1) = $950 (+$350 for more than 5 appointments or if more than 8 hours is required to attend meetings)
    • Medium Business(2) = $2,300 (+$1,000 for more than 5 appointments or if more than 8 hours is required to attend meetings)
    • Large Business(3) = $3,400 (+$1,200 for more than 5 appointments or if more than 8 hours is required to attend meetings)

The Initial Market Check is an initial assessment of the market potential of a product or service in a targeted market. The service gauges the potential of a specific product or service in a market by gathering feedback from up to five industry participants and provides recommendations on whether to pursue the target market.

International Company Profile – full background check / partial background check

The International Company Profile - Full provides U.S. companies with in-depth background check information on a specific foreign company to help determine its suitability as a potential business partner. The service includes a site visit to the target foreign company and interviews with principals/references.

The International Company Profile - Partial provides U.S. companies with basic background check information on a specific foreign company based on publicly available information to help determine its suitability as a potential business partner.

International Partner Search – pre-screened business contacts

The International Partner Search provides U.S. firms with a list of up to five agents, distributors and partners that have expressed an interest in your product or service.

International Partner Search + Virtual Introductions

The International Partner Search Plus Virtual Introductions provides U.S. firms with a list of up to five agents, distributors and partners that have expressed an interest in your product or service, and includes virtual introductions via teleconference to the identified contacts.

  • Business(1) = $900 (+ $30 per introduction beyond 5)
    •Medium Business(2) = $2,10 (+ $70 per introduction beyond 5)
    •Large Business(3) = $2,700 (+ $90 per introduction beyond 5)

Featured U.S. Exporter listing – (Five markets)

Featured U.S. Exporters Listing provides U.S. companies with an opportunity to enhance their international marketing efforts through improved search engine optimization. A listing on the directory of an overseas CS office’s local website gives U.S. exporters targeted overseas exposure to more effectively help them find foreign business partners in specific local markets. It allows local importers to find U.S. exporters interested in exporting to a specific local foreign market.

Small Business(1) = $150 (for five markets or $30 per market listing)

  • $50 per language for translation if needed
    •Annual renewal: $75 (for five markets or $15 per market)

Medium Business(2) = $350 (for five markets or $70 per market listing)

  • $50 per language for translation if needed
    •Annual renewal: $175 (for five markets or $35 per market)

Large Business(3) = $500 (for five markets or $100 per market listing

  • $50 per language for translation if needed
    •Annual renewal: $250 (for five markets or $50 per market)

Business Service Provider – web listing of export services for one category

The Business Service Provider (BSP) is an online program to help U.S. exporters identify professional export service providers to support them in the assessment, financing or completion of an export transaction. The BSP can include U.S. and foreign business service providers. Export service providers gain visibility within the exporting community via participation in a BSP Directory.

Small Business(1) = $150

Medium Business(2) = $250 •+ $50 for additional category listing

Single Company Promotion – promotional event

The Single Company Promotion provides U.S. companies with promotional services to help increase the awareness of their product/service in a specific market. The promotional event may consist of a technical seminar, press conference, luncheon, dinner, or reception, with targeted direct mail or e-mail campaigns.

  • Business(1) = $30 per staff hour
    •Medium Business(2) = $70 per staff hour
    •Large Business(3) = $90 per staff hour

Trade Show Representation

The Trade Show Representation service provides U.S. companies and economic development organizations with the ability to increase their marketing exposure at an overseas trade show when they are unable to attend in-person. Multiple clients’ products and services may be showcased by CS at the event.

Certified Trade Mission

A Certified Trade Mission provides an effective way for groups of U.S. companies to explore business opportunities in overseas markets. A mission can consist of the following activities: Market Briefing, Gold Key Service, and Reception/Site Visit/Technical Seminar. The trade mission organizer and CS determine which of these activities will be included for all participants.

  • Business(1) = $30 per staff hour if not Full Package (+$950 per participant if Gold Key Service is included)
    •Medium Business(2) = $70 per staff hour if not Full Package (+$2,300 per participant if Gold Key Service is included)

(1) Must qualify as a “small business” under the Small Business Administration’s size standards, which vary by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: https://www.sba.gov/document/support--table-size-standards. Fees listed also apply to U.S. Economic Development Organizations (EDO) and Non-profit Educational Institutions that purchase ITA services for their own use. For example, when an EDO requests a Gold Key Service (GKS) to promote itself as a tourist destination, it will be charged the small company fee. If, however, an EDO requests a (GKS) to promote a U.S. company’s goods/services, the size of the company will be used to determine the fee.

(2) Must have less than $1B in annual revenue (including affiliates: parent, child, subsidiaries, divisions, etc.) to qualify.

(3) All U.S. businesses that do not qualify as a small or medium enterprise.

(4) Other direct costs not included in the service description must be assumed by the client. Types of other direct costs include translation, transportation, use of contractors, venue rental, catering, etc. Please note that any transportation for ITA staff beyond 80 kilometers or more than 2 hours from an ITA office will be charged an additional user fee to cover the cost.
