Made in Rural America Initiative

In February 2014, President Obama announced the Made in Rural America Initiative. The program aims to increase exports from rural areas by connecting companies with resources, expertise, counseling, and programs offered by agencies. The White House Rural Council coordinates the program with participation from the Department of Commerce, the Department of Agriculture, the Small Business Administration, the Export-Import Bank, the Office of the US Trade Representative, and the US Postal Service.
