Travel Information:

Visa Requirements

A visa is required to enter Mozambique and cannot be acquired upon arrival at the airport. Please visit the website of the Embassy of Mozambique in DC for the most current visa information.

Health Requirements

Travelers must show proof of yellow fever vaccination if traveling from a Yellow Fever endemic country which includes Angola, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria.

A yellow fever vaccination is highly recommended regardless of the country you are traveling from due to previously reported experiences with difficulties gaining entry into Mozambique without a yellow fever vaccination.

Anti-malarial medication is required and usually taken before and after travel. Please consult your doctor on appropriate medication and visit the CDC’s how to choose a drug to prevent malaria page or their Malaria Information by country page for more information.

It is advisable that travelers have medical evacuation coverage and medical insurance applicable in Mozambique.

For more information please visit the U.S. State Department Mozambique travel page and our FAQ page.
