As the world's largest power generation event, POWER-GEN International (PGI) is a 30-year-strong power generation event with diverse content for all forms of energy - with a multi-track summit and knowledge hubs, a huge exhibition with 900+ companies and comprehensive networking and matchmaking. The topics and trends focus on technology, innovation and policy advancements - unmatched insight for the future of the energy spectrum and mix. More than 900 companies from all sectors of the industry exhibit each year to benefit from the exposure to more than 18,000 attendees from over 110 countries.

Among these visiting attendees, the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) will be recruiting pre-screened buyers from over thirty top international markets and facilitating contacts at the show. In cooperation with PennWell International and the USDOC’s International Buyer Program, the Commercial Service’s Global Energy Team will be offering two complimentary programs – “Showtime” Export Counseling Meetings & Business-to-Business (B2B) Matchmaking - to help U.S. exhibitors increase their international sales. Through participation in these programs, U.S. exhibitors can gain foreign market intelligence, more effectively target potential buyers and make in-market contacts with USDOC and U.S. Embassy representatives to support critical post-show follow-up.

Power generation industry specialists from the following U.S. Embassies/Consulates are tentatively scheduled to be at the show. They will be available for regional market meetings to learn about your energy sector solutions and offer their insights on market potential and entry strategies. In addition, they will be leading their country buyer delegations and may be able to facilitate introductions. At the registration link below, please indicate which regions and country specialists you would like to meet. We will schedule 30-minute meetings at the International Business Center on December 4th and 5th.

Representatives from the U.S. Commercial Service’s Advocacy Center will also be available for meetings. The Advocacy Center coordinates the actions of 20 U.S. government agencies involved in international trade. Advocacy assistance may involve a visit to a key foreign official by a high-ranking U.S. government official, direct support from U.S. officials stationed overseas, letters to foreign decision makers, and coordinated action by U.S. government agencies and businesses of all types and sizes.

A representative from the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will also be available for meetings. MCC is an independent U.S. Government agency that provides grants to promote economic growth and help people lift themselves out of poverty in developing countries.  MCC forecasts that it will soon provide funding for several energy related opportunities in Africa.

Additionally, representatives from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (ExIm) will be available to discuss export financing and credit insurance.

When you register for the B2B Matchmaking, the U.S. Commercial Service will feature your company on our global Industry Focused Promotion (IFP) website. U.S. Commercial Service Energy specialists at U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide will promote the IFP site to potential buyers and partners in their markets. Some of these leads may result in scheduled meetings with you at the show. Once a lead has been generated for your company on the IFP site, you will automatically be notified and receive the buyer's contact information.
