The Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference (SHOT Show®) is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for professionals who sell products related to the shooting sports, hunting, and law enforcement industries.

In partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), we at the U.S. Department of Commerce are excited to offer U.S. exhibitors at the 2020 Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Tradeshow and Conference services to assist in entering or increasing their presence in international markets!

This business-to-government market counselling program offers you a unique opportunity to meet with our U.S. Embassy Commercial Specialists who are our “boots on the ground” resource for U.S. companies looking to expand its presence overseas. The Specialists cover the Safety/Security and Sporting Goods sectors for their countries and have over the years, accumulated knowledge of the market opportunities, common obstacles and challenges American firms face, know who the key players are in the market, understand the regulations that apply to the sector, and are available to share insights on the market and help U.S. firms develop its market entry (or expansion) strategy for these sectors in their countries.

Bureau of Industry & Security (BIS) – U.S. Department of Commerce:
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) is an agency of the United States Department of Commerce that deals with issues involving national security and high technology. BIS has broad jurisdiction over both commercial items and some items that also have a military application. Examples of items that fall under BIS include certain shotguns & rifle scopes, some types of body armour, police equipment, and hunting equipment. It is vital to understand how to comply with export controls BIS administers in order to legally export your items.

Office of Textiles & Apparel (OTEXA) – U.S. Department of Commerce:
OTEXA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce that focuses on helping American apparel, textile, and footwear (including eyewear) manufacturers expand their exports by providing market research, info on regulation that pertain to these sectors in foreign markets, and insights on these sectors. OTEXA can also help promote your products and facilitate contact information with interested buyers through trade shows and trade missions held throughout the world.

Industry and Analysis – U.S. Department of Commerce:
Industry and Analysis is a unit within the U.S. Department of Commerce (International Trade Administration) which represents the interests of U.S. industry in trade negotiations, advocates on behalf of industry with foreign governments, and produces research on global opportunities for U.S. industry.

Small Business Administration (SBA):
The Small Business Administration (SBA) provides a number of financial assistance programs to meet the needs of small businesses for both domestic and international growth. These Programs have been specifically designed to meet key financial needs such as debt restructure, working capital, surety bonds, and equity financing

These one-on-one appointments can take place, either at your booth or at International Trade Center located in the Bassano Ballroom of the Venetian, Level 2, adjacent to the show floor. There is no fee to participate. All products and service must be at least 51% U.S. origin content (meaning the product is made here, assembled here, etc.; for services, we look for a min of 51% content that originates from the U.S.)
