The Honduran government is seeking general access to technology services and education, permanent learning, and introduction of ICTs in the educational curricula, development and support of e-government, e-health and e-commerce. Honduras is an appealing market for U.S. exporters due to the Central America – Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) Free Trade Agreement market. The United States is Honduras' largest trade and economic partner, accounting for 33.1 percent of total merchandise imports and 65 percent of general assembly imports. Hondurans are very receptive to U.S. goods and services because of its strategic location and proximity to the United States.
