The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), is organizing a Cyber Security Trade mission to three locations in the Nordics: Denmark, Norway and Sweden, September 23-27, 2019.

The objective of the mission is to introduce U.S. firms and organizations to Northern Europe’s information and communication technology (ICT), security, and critical infrastructure protection markets.

Target Products & Services for Trade Mission:

The mission is designed for U.S. firms and organizations who play a part in the industry, especially those with products in the following categories:

Behavior Analytics (User and Entity);
Big Data Security; Cloud Security;
DDoS Protection;
Endpoint Protection and Anti-virus;
Endpoint Threat Detection and Response;
Identity and Access Management;
Industrial and critical infrastructure security (ICS/SCADA Security);
IoT Security;
Multi-factor Authentication;
Network Firewall;
Password Manager;
Patch Configuration and Management;
Security Information and Event Management (and Log Management) and Forensics.

Mission Goals

The goals of the Cyber-Security Business Development Mission are to provide U.S. participants with first-hand market information and to have meetings with potential channel partners and industry experts, so that they can position themselves to enter or expand their presence in the market. As such, the mission will focus on helping U.S. companies establish a business presence, obtain market information and learn about the markets from local experts.

By participating in the Mission, U.S. companies will meet potential business partners like resellers, integrators and distributors through which they may export their products and services to the region. The Mission will provide opportunities for participants to have policy and regulatory framework discussions with foreign government representatives in order to advance U.S. cybersecurity sector interests and it will provide participants with an opportunity to meet with local Information Technology trade associations, to foster long-term partnerships, and to share best practices.

This mission intends to include representatives from U.S. companies and U.S. trade associations with members that provide cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection products and services. The mission will visit Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, giving U.S. firms access to business development opportunities across the Nordic region.

Trade Mission Features

  • Introduce U.S. firms to the rapidly expanding Nordic market for cyber security products.
  • Offer U.S. firms industry briefings, business appointments with strategic partners, and networking events.
  • Help U.S. firms gain insights, make industry and government contacts, solidify business strategies and advance specific technologies.
  • Facilitate trade between U.S. and the Northern European region.

Fees & Expenses

  • $3,800 USD for small or medium-sized enterprises
  • $4,800 USD for large companies
  • $1,000 USD for each additional firm participant

*Expenses for travel, lodging, most meals and incidentals will be the responsibility of each mission participant.

To Apply

Applicants must submit a completed and signed mission application and supplemental application materials, including adequate information on their products and/or services, primary market objectives, and goals for participation no later than June 14, 2019.
