How to Become an Event Partner

Interested in becoming a presentation partner for the one or more of the 2018 International Patient Day programs around the globe?

Feedback from the 2017 International Patient Day programs around the globe showed that presentation partners gained valuable exposure to and engagement with foreign government regulators and other critical decision makers. Partners should already be doing business in the host country.

Partners are asked to do the following:

  • Locate a doctor and/or patient in the target country who already uses your company’s technology and would be willing to speak at the International Patient Day about the benefits they have seen from your technology.
  • Attend the local International Patient Day to discuss new technology or answer questions from attendees. Note US companies’ regional representatives/country managers may attend the program as the key representative of the firm.
  • Work with the US Commercial Service in country to define your target audience members and coordinate other program logistics.

Event Partnership includes**:

Promotional materials:

  • Inclusion of marketing partner’s logo in all marketing materials as well as on International Patient Day printed program materials.
  • Table at International Patient Day Program.
  • Social media promotion by U.S. Embassy and/or U.S. Commercial Service.

Participation at the International Patient Day Program:

  • Partners will introduce their local doctor and/or patient. In some cases, they will lead a panel discussion with their doctor and/or patient.
  • On average, each partner and their doctor/patient has 20-30 minutes of speaking time.
  • Up to three company representatives may attend the International Patient Day program.
  • Networking opportunities with all attendees.
  • U.S. Event Partners and contact information will be included in a local event program booklet to be distributed to event attendees

**Important Notes:

  • Each country’s program offerings may vary slightly, depending on the particular business and cultural nuances in that country.
  • At this time, the International Patient Day program will only include medical device and Health IT companies. We will work to include all sectors of the healthcare industry in the future.
