Our division of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service, has a global network of 100 offices located throughout the U.S. and over 100 offices located in more than 75 countries. Our worldwide team of education specialists is here to assist with your international outreach to students, potential partners, and agents. Our Education Team members can assist you with the following:

  • International Market Research – please refer to the report on the left side of the page entitled “Resource Guide 2018”.
  • Recruitment Fairs – we can help you identify the right international education fairs for your institution.
  • Webinars – learn about the education sector in a market of interest without leaving your desk.
  • Virtual Education Events – showcase your school to a potential partner institution and/or agents using a powerpoint presentation live over the internet.
  • Gold Key Service – we will set up in-country meetings for you with possible partner educational institutions, identify qualified recruiting agents, find companies that require specialized training for their employees and/or connect you with the Ministry of Education.
  • Single School Promotion – we will organize an event featuring your institution/program and invite the country’s key players in the education sector.

Event Highlight: Opportunity to Meet with Commerce’s Overseas Education Specialists at NAFSA 2018

U.S. Educators are invited to meet with U.S. Commercial Service Education Specialists from China, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Ukraine to discuss market potential and issues regarding international student recruitment. This year, we are pleased to offer meetings with an official from Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to discuss research and deemed exports (more information available here… (https://bis.doc.gov/index.php/policy-guidance/deemed-exports/deemed-exports-faqs).

Event Summary:
The U.S. Commercial Service will host a one-hour webinar covering the education technology sector in China on Monday, July 12th at 8:00PM Eastern/5:00PM Pacific. China has growing interest in education technology and innovative approaches to learning in the education sector. In fact, China's favorable government policy has set ICT infrastructure in public schools. Furthermore, China has the world's largest middle class and they average 30% of their spending on education. This webinar will cover multiple important topics, including a basic overview of the sector and its potential impact on US "Ed-Tech" companies, IPR protection, and details about the US Pavilion at the 2018 Global Education Technology Expo in Beijing, Shanghai (Nov 2018).
