The Details

Starting in 2019, we plan to offer these programs in China-Wuhan, India, Mexico, Taiwan, and Vietnam.  We will be accepting 6 participating U.S. educational institutions for each program. Program costs will be determined on a country-by-country basis and will range from $1,000 - $1,300 per participating educational institution.

During the month leading up to the program, you will have the opportunity to ship marketing materials to the event location.  We will also request a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 20 slides for your 10 minute presentation.  We will schedule a conference call with the Post to answer any questions regarding the program, the market, and the audience.  We will schedule a practice session to go over the WebEx technology we will be using for the day of the program.  We will ensure you are able to access the platform on your computer and change the slides during your presentations.

A few days before the program, you will receive the Welcome Kit with updated education market information and the profiles and contact information of the participating recruitment partners and high school counselors.  You will also receive the dial-in and net coordinates, as well as agenda for the day of the program.

During the day of the program, each school will provide a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation (20 slides maximum) highlighting their institution programs, fees, etc., and will provide a 1-2 minute 360 degree video viewing opportunity of their campuses, through Oculus Go headsets, creating an immersive experience.  The recruitment representatives in-country will be invited to attend these programs at the U.S. consulates and/or embassies.

If you are interested in one of the countries mentioned above and learning more about using the VR technology, please contact gabriela.zelaya@trade.gov.
Participation in these programs will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We will assess whether your school programs are a good fit for the VR-VEF in the country you selected and notify you of your acceptance to take part in the program.
