Event Summary:
Explore opportunities to expand your sales in the exploding aviation markets in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province and Changsha, Hunan Province. Join the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) China team from January 17 - 19, 2018 as we introduce U.S. aviation firms to key decision makers in the heart of China's aviation infrastructure boom as well as high level USG officials in attendance. Hong Kong Hong Kong International Airport Master Plan 2030 – The three-runway system (3RS) project construction kicked off in August 1st 2016. Work tenders are being issued in phases with the entire system to be completed by 2030 at an estimated cost of US $18 billion. The 3RS project will enable the airport to handle 102 million passengers and 8.9 million tons of cargo. The development of this three-runway system will involve land reclamation, construction of related taxiway systems and airfield facilities, construction of new aprons, passenger concourses, as well as the expansion of the existing Terminal 2. Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Phase III Expansion – This project includes the construction of the fourth and fifth runways and the third terminal building. Total investment is estimated to be US $5.3 billion. After this project's completion, Baiyun Airport will be able to handle 105 million passengers, as well as cargo and mail totaling 5 million tons annually. These additions will be operational in 2022. Changsha Huanghua Airport New Terminal 3 - Changsha Huanghua International Airport will commence Terminal 3 construction later this year. Total investment will be US $4 billion. The new T3 will be 2.5 times larger than the current T2, with the ability to handle 60 million passengers annually in 2020. Primary design plans are to be completed before June 2018 and the construction blueprints are to be approved by September 2018. Airport authorities are looking to make the airport safer and greener by introducing new equipment, technology, and consultations from U.S. companies. Besides Changsha Huanghua airport, Changsha airport group will build 3 new airports in Hunan within 5 years. This is a unique opportunity for participants to present to airport groups on their industry expertise in areas of smart airport, green construction, energy efficient equipment, airport security equipment, ground support and terminal related equipment, and airport management etc. Participants will be briefed on airport plans in respective cities.
