SMM is the international trade show of the maritime industry. It takes place every two years and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. International representatives of marine equipment industries and of the shipbuilding industry meet in Hamburg to present new products, and innovative technologies. More than 2100 exhibitors are part of SMM and set the course for the industries future success. Here you can find a list of American exhibitors that were at SMM 2016.

Products on display include the shipyard and marine equipment industry, propulsion systems and accessories, electrics and electronics, and plant, fittings and service, as well as security and defense products. SMM is also a pioneer when it comes to green technologies in shipbuilding and the marine equipment industry. In conjunction with the trade show, workshops and conference offer the opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to discover new developments in the maritime industry.

The U.S. Commercial Service offers and supports Enterprise Europe Networks International Matchmaking Events the MariMatch which is usually free of charge.

As in the past the U.S. Commercial Service will host a U.S. exhibitor reception in conjunction with the U.S. Coast Guard’s AMVER award ceremony presented to German shipyards participating in this exceptional program to save lives at sea
