IWA OutdoorClassics 2018

#1 Meeting Place for the Hunting and Sport Shooting Industry

Get ready and gear up for the IWA OutdoorClassics 2018, the largest international trade fair for hunting and sport shooting equipment, knives, outdoor articles and accessories, taking place March 9 to 12, in Nuremberg, Germany. In 2017, some 1,515 exhibitors from 57 countries presented their products and services to more than 49,000 trade visitors from 120 countries. Eight out of ten exhibitors came from abroad. With more than 200 exhibitors, the United States had the second largest presence after Germany. U.S. products received a lot of interest from various European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries. IWA 2018 will cater to a large audience of buyers, two thirds of them from outside of Germany, turning the show into the number one international meeting place for the hunting and sport shooting industry and an ideal platform to connect with U.S. manufacturers. IWA 2018 will feature the following product segments:

  • Guns, gun components, gun machining and gun security
  • Ammunition for hunting and sport shooting
  • Optics and electronics
  • Bows and crossbows
  • Outdoor articles & apparel
  • Backpacks, shoes & boots
  • Knives
  • Binoculars
  • Firearms for official agencies and self-defense
  • Training equipment

Moreover, Enforce Tac 2018, the international exhibition & conference for law enforcement, security and tactical solutions, will be held prior to IWA 2018 from March 7 to 8.

U.S. Exhibitor Support & Registration

The U.S. Commercial Service is offering a range of free-of-charge support services for U.S. exhibitors at IWA 2018. Our standard service includes the Exhibitor Support Program (ESP). It provides high-quality support that complements your company's presence at the show.

Exhibitor Support Program (ESP)

Through the ESP, we will be able to provide you with a variety of services, including market research, assistance in finding suitable business partners and other customized services, all designed to promote your exports before, during and after the show. This unique opportunity is offered for U.S. companies only. The ESP includes the following elements:

  • Focused email promotion of U.S. exhibitors to local contacts in the hunting and sport shooting industry (FREE)
  • On-site counseling, market research, and interpreting assistance (FREE)
  • Company and products listing on the German buyer-targeted IWA 2018 promotion page on BuyUSA.gov Germany (FREE)

The ESP is usually flanked by an International Promotion Program (IPP), which extends the outreach to other European markets. This year, we can only offer limited international support during the show due to other resource-intensive events. We will do all the more in Germany.

*Note on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Both the U.S. Commercial Service and Nuremberg Trade Fairs are proactively engaged in defending American companies against counterfeit and copyright infringement. Please see our guidelines about IPR at Trade Fairs in Europe on our website. It shows how exhibitors can be supported on this very important subject.
