The Caribbean Region as a whole represents a market of about 23.5 million people who collectively imported over $22.5 billion of U.S. goods in 2012. As a result, the region is the 3rd largest export market for U.S. manufactured goods in Latin America behind only Mexico and Brazil. This session will feature the U.S. Ambassador to the Dominican Republic along with other private and public experts discussing key opportunities in energy, tourism, telecommunications, and more.

12 Countries, 6 Agreements, Making Free Trade Agreement’s Work for You
The Americas have garnered 6 Free Trade Agreements (FTA) with the U.S., making the region one of the most important and accessible markets for U.S. companies. This includes FTAs with Chile, Peru, Panama, Colombia, Mexico and Canada (NAFTA) and with the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua (DR-CAFTA). This session will address how you can benefit from these Free Trade Agreements while understanding their limitations and conditions. Concerto A
Building upon Success: Export Opportunities in Infrastructure Continue to Grow Throughout the Americas With countries spending around 2.5 percent of GDP on infrastructure, there is a potential pipeline of $1.5 trillion in projects expected over the next decade in Latin America. U.S. exporters are in a great position to participate in this tremendous investment; including airports, marine ports, roads, construction, services, etc. This session will bring together private companies and public officials to discuss these opportunities.
