Opportunities for Emissions Reduction and Air Pollution Control Technologies in Eastern Europe

Cyber Security Opportunities in Europe Webinar 2019

The value of the global cyber security market is expected to grow by 11 percent each year, reaching nearly $232 billion by 2022. Western Europe will be the second largest geographical market, right behind the U.S. market, with the U.K. widely regarded as the largest and most concentrated cyber security market in Europe. Adoption of security solutions through 2022 is forecasted to be highest among the following verticals: Aerospace & Defense; Government; Banking; Financial Services & Insurance; and IT & telecommunications.

RoHS Webinar on Exporting to the EU

Join the U.S. Commercial Service on December 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM Eastern for a webinar to learn about recent developments under RoHS that could impact U.S. companies exporting to the European Union.  This webinar is the 2nd in a two-part series. 

A Consultation on RoHS substance methodology and the inventory of RoHS candidates was recently launched, so this is an ideal time for industry to provide their input deadline to submit comments is December 21.  

This webinar will focus on current issues and actions under RoHS that could impact U.S. industry exporting to the EU.  Although this is NOT an introduction to RoHS, companies new to the legislation may want to participate to learn about these current issues and ask questions about other resources that can provide a broader overview of the legislation.  In addition, this will be an excellent update in preparation for the next scope review of RoHS due in 2021. 

Companies participating in the webinar will hear from experts from EPPA, a specialist management consultancy that helps clients manage alignment between business and EU institutions and government, and the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Mission to the EU.  Companies will:

  • Learn about current issues that could impact their exports to the EU.
  • Gain insights on changes to RoHS.
  • Have an opportunity to provide feedback on these issues and address your company’s questions and interests directly with our speakers.

UK Healthcare Opportunities

Why the UK Healthcare Market?

The UK is the 3rd largest economy in Europe and 5th largest in the world. Its publicly funded health system, the National Health Service (NHS), serves 65 million people.

The country’s medical devices segment is import-led ($8bn 2017/18) and it’s likely BREXIT, the UK’s departure from the European Union (EU) in March 2019, will increase demand for non-EU imports. Within digital health the NHS, a world leader in primary care EHR systems and IT infrastructure, is working towards full digital maturity and collaborating with developers of innovative technologies through initiatives such as regional Test Bed programs. The sector is also benefiting from government support and investment in areas such as AI and robotics.

As well as highlighting trends and opportunities in the market, this webinar will provide an overview and update on BREXIT, looking specifically at the potential changes to the regulatory environment and existing UK/EU supply chain.
