Here are some videos highlighting success stories in Europe.

Diamon-Fusion

Diamon-Fusion International, based in Irvine, California, manufactures a variety of surface protective coating machines that are used in the automotive, commercial, residential, and marine industry sectors.  The company has worked with the U.S. Commercial Service in several countries including Germany, Brazil, Indonesia, and Australia. Diamon-Fusion is a fan of the U.S. Commercial Service Gold Key Matching Program because it helps them prequalify international distribution prospects, which, in turn, saves time and money.

Iron Fist Brewing Co.

Iron Fist Brewing, based in Vista, California, had never considered exporting until they met the San Diego-based Commercial Service office at a San Diego Brewers Guild meeting in 2013. Commercial Service presented on the relative ease of exporting, and the support provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce to assist U.S. companies to do just that.

After the meeting, Iron Fist began working with CS who introduced them to several international beer importers. As a direct result of these introductions, Iron Fist made several export sales -- including sending a full container of beer to Sweden. By June 2014, the company had also shipped to Australia, Canada, Finland, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Norway!

Exporting has allowed Iron Fist not only to maintain existing American jobs at their brewery but also attributes the increased revenues brought in through export sales with helping them to hire two new U.S. employees.

Jump Design Group

The Jump Design Group, based in New York City, manufactures "Made in the USA" dresses and sportswear.  The company sells products to most major department stores, retailers and shopping channels in the U.S.

For the past 12 years, the Jump Design Group has been working with the U.S. Commercial Service to expand their sales into key international markets. Jump Design Group founder Glenn Schlossberg, credits U.S. Commercial Service programs such as the "Gold Key" with helping them to sell "millions of dollars of product into Germany" and Mr. Schlossberg is proud to say that Jump Design currently exports "New York Made, USA Made" garments to China -- which he describes as a "spectacular endeavor!"

Whereas most of their competitors manufacture in Asia, Jump Design has chosen to keep all manufacturing within a 20 mile radius of their headquarters in New York City.  Export sales revenue has helped them directly employ 230 Americans in their Design, Production Control, Sales, Finance, and Distribution Departments.

Kahtoola

Kahtoola manufactures a variety of adventure hiking footwear and is based in Flagstaff, Arizona.   When the company first started working with the Commercial Service they had only one international distributor.  The company took advantage of the U.S. Government’s Step Grant program which helped underwrite some of the costs of participating in a U.S. Commercial Service trade show to Europe

Kahtoola quickly grew from exporting to one country to 14!  Today, exporting represents 25% of Kahtoola’s business.  The company now employs eight staff and largely credits the increased international demand for its products as the reason behind their new hires.

Space Systems Loral

Hot off the production line is the latest U.S. Commercial Service "Super Success Story" video.  This video takes us to Eastern Europe.  The U.S Commercial Service, EX-IM and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development worked together to help Space Systems Loral of Palo Alto, California, sell a communications satellite to Bulsatcom – Bulgaria's leading telecommunications service provider. This transaction was valued at $150 million, making it the largest export sale in history between the U.S. and Bulgaria.

U.S.-based SpaceX is going to provide the launch vehicle (a Falcon 9 Rocket) and NASA will host the launch at Cape Canaveral. This sale directly supports 300 U.S. jobs at Space Systems Loral, indirectly supports thousands of other sub-contractors in 48 U.S. states and supports many jobs at Space X. This satellite will bring 4g internet, television and news services to millions of Bulgarians located in cities and remote hilltop villages throughout the country.   In addition, Bulgaria will be able to provide internet, television and telecommunication services to surrounding countries such as Serbia and Romania.
