Event Summary:
Port Opportunities in Brazil

The Government of Brazil has an ambitious plan to accelerate investment and growth via partnerships or privatization. The newly-created Ministry of Infrastructure and the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI) have 46 ongoing infrastructure concession/renewal projects open to participation from the private sector. A new round of 59 projects, to include six port terminals, has just recently received approval to be launched, with the goal of attracting U.S. $400 billion in investments during the concession period.

Best prospects include technological innovations and solutions for port operations, infrastructure and cargo transportation. From 2016 to 2018, the ports projects portfolio received US$ 1.7 billion in investments, specifically in public port terminals – including new and existing contracts.

This is an exciting time for U.S.-Brazil relations. The Government of Brazil recently rescinded visa requirement for U.S. travelers in order to attract more visitors and business to the country. Register for this webinar to learn more about the Brazilian port sector and how contractors and suppliers can benefit from participation in these upcoming Brazilian port projects.
