Today, nexus (i.e., when a taxpayer is required to file a state and local tax return) is the biggest state tax risk facing most multi-state businesses. This is especially true in light of the recent US Supreme Court decision in Wayfair (decided June 21, 2018), which is the most significant state tax decision in more than 25 years. State tax nexus rules can have significant implications to any multi-state taxpayer, especially those making retail sales. In this webinar, we will discuss how to identify and manage this risk, with a focus on:

• State tax nexus rules as they relate to both International and domestic sellers

• The implications of the Wayfair decision

• Common sales tax exemptions

• Dealing with past tax exposure
