Event Summary:
Join the U.S. Commercial Service in for a Webinar on the downstream and midstream sectors in Egypt. This Webinar provides an overview of the key opportunities and challenges Egypt has in meeting energy consumption demands and explains how this will lead to greater opportunities for U.S. oil and gas operators, service companies, and manufacturers.

Egypt represents the region's most populated energy market, Africa's largest non-OPEC producer, and is the largest oil and gas consumer on the continent. While Egypt is a mature fossil energy market, there is continued demand for new suppliers as discoveries in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea, and Western Desert require new innovative technology. The local market is looking for technology that reduces energy costs while simultaneously boosting production.

In 2018, Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum will issue tenders for upgrading refineries and modernizing existing LNG terminals to become a regional hub for energy.
