Location/Date: Moscow, Russia 05/29/2018 - 05/29/2018
Event Summary:
Russia presents both significant opportunities and challenges for U.S. exporters. While targeted American and European economic sanctions remain in place, there is no overall trade embargo for U.S. exports to Russia. As a result of tight fiscal and monetary policy coupled with higher oil prices, Russia's GDP grew 1-2% in 2017.

Russia has 142 million consumers, over $27K GDP per capita and a growing middle class and highly educated and trained workforce. Russian consumers are becoming increasingly sophisticated and U.S. brands need to have strong marketing strategies to compete with competitors from around the world.
