Location/Date: Wheeling, WV, United States 03/15/2010 - 03/15/2010
Event Summary:
The North America and the Caribbean Regions represent great opportunities for U.S. companies to export, as the proximity and need for U.S. products in these countries makes these markets very attractive. This Exporting to North America/Caribbean - Best Prospects Webinar will provide an overview of Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and 17 Caribbean Islands.

Canada

Business opportunities in Canada abound for U.S. exporters. Canada's growing economy will continue to generate demand for a wide range of U.S. goods and services. For Canadian companies upgrading their plants and equipment, as well as those constructing new facilities, the United States is a principal source of new machinery and technology. U.S. companies will continue to find Canada an extremely attractive and accessible place to do business.

Mexico

As a neighboring country of the U.S. and member of NAFTA, Mexico is a natural market for U.S. exporters. Though it's close and familiar to us, it is still a foreign market, meaning that there are many things different from how companies conduct business in the U.S.

The Caribbean

The Caribbean is more than just a vacation destination; it's also a steadily growing market full of business opportunities for U.S. companies. The Caribbean Region is the 3rd largest market for U.S. exports in Latin America behind only Mexico and Brazil with $18.5 billion in U.S. imports. Learn more about how your company can benefit from CAFTA-DR. Markets covered include Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and 17 islands: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Curacao / Aruba, Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Turks and Caicos Islands.
