Vital Signs Black Bar

Patrick Keeney is a Project Architect with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) where he works with both architecture and urban planning teams in the design of complex, ecologically-minded, mixed-use projects. Patrick’s passion for the design of high-performance buildings guides his approach to design, continuously striving for responsive environmental solutions. With extensive experience in building simulation and environmental analysis, he brings a performance-based decision-making process to each project. Prior to AS+GG, Patrick worked at RTKL in Washington DC working on both International and Federal Government projects in the Workplace studio. In 2013 while with RTKL, Patrick was a leading designer of the Looper, the winning submission for the snoLEAF BIG! “Green” Greenhouse Design Competition. Aligning itself with the standards of the Living Building Challenge, the Looper challenges the idea of a greenhouse and exploits the potential that the growing of plants inherently cleans an ecosystem. Following the competition, the Looper won the Award for Global Potential from the SXSW-eco Place by Design Awards, as well as numerous other recognitions.
