Jennifer Byrne is the Chief Technology Officer for the Worldwide Public Sector division at Microsoft where she leads the division’s Technology Office, consisting of portfolio and innovation leads as well as National Technology Officers throughout the world.   Ms. Byrne is primarily responsible for cross-industry market expansion initiatives that leverage business model and technology innovation to create a more personalized and empowered world for governments and their citizens, healthcare companies and consumers, and education providers and students around the globe.

Jennifer joined Microsoft in 2014, having spent the previous eighteen years working across the IT and Cybersecurity industry.  She began her technology career in security engineering, servicing U.S. federal government clients and has held senior leadership positions in sales, alliances and corporate strategy at Symantec and McAfee/Intel. Most recently, Jennifer was the Chief Security Officer for the Worldwide Public Sector division and prior to that position she was the Global Vice President for Sales and Alliances at Damballa, a cybersecurity firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
