Vital Signs Black Bar

Ed Camden is the President of Southwest Steel Coil, Inc., a flat-rolled steel and aluminum processor and distributor, with plants located along the US-Mexico border.  The company is focused on trade with Mexico, supplying raw material to large OEM’s and stampers throughout the border region.  Southwest is the only metal processor with the ability to service the entire US-Mexico border region with same-day shipment.

In 2013, Mr. Camden and Southwest Steel Coil were named the SBA’s Region VI “Exporter of the Year”.  Since that time, the company’s exports to Mexico have continued to grow at a steady rate, leading the company to construct a new world-class processing center in Mission, TX, just 2 miles from the Mexico border.

Mr. Camden has served as the President of the New Mexico Border Industrial Association and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and has spent the past 25 years working in the steel industry.  He resides in Las Cruces, NM with his wife Sandra.
