Panel: Navigating Uncharted Waters: Assessing Emerging Business Risk Across the Supply Chain

Session: Tuesday, February 10 @ 11:00

Marianna Grossman leads Sustainable Silicon Valley (SSV), consortium of more than 100 businesses, governments, research and civic organizations founded in 2000 bringing the ingenuity of Silicon Valley to create a more sustainable region and world. Under her leadership, SSV delivers programs that inspire action. The annual WEST Summit features leaders from science, industry, finance, government, academia and NGOs including California Governor Jerry Brown in 2013.

In partnership with NASA Ames Research Center, SSV sponsors a Call for Solutions that can scale to affect Planet Earth’s sustainability. SSV’s Net Positive initiative is catalyzing action towards a common vision of a resilient region that generates surplus renewable energy, sequesters more carbon than emitted and uses local water resources by 2050. Ms. Grossman’s previous roles include Partner for Sustainability and Innovation at Minerva Consulting; investor in high tech start-ups; and corporate roles in the automotive, computer and semiconductor industries. She earned an MBA from Yale University and a BA, cum laude, with distinction in Policy Studies from Dartmouth College where she studied under mentors Dennis and Donella Meadows.
