Panel: Water, Water, Everywhere: How the Middle East is Reclaiming a Precious Natural Resource

John Webley, Chief Executive Officer Trevi Systems Inc., has a long track record in founding and growing companies to scale for either initial public offerings or acquisition. With his two co-founders, John grew Advanced Fibre to 500 people and a market capitalization of $6 billion in 1999.  John then founded Turin Networks, which grew to a $50 million business with 250+ employees and subsequently sold to Dell for $700mm.

After retiring from Turin, he has been involved in a board capacity with numerous non-profits and startups, including Red Condor, Clovis, SecureTrack, MyJambi, and Aspen Air. After serving as CEO of PAX Streamline, an energy efficiency company, John founded Innovative Labs, LLC to commercialize early stage clean technologies, with a new solar air conditioner recently introduced into the market place.

John spun Trevi Systems out of the incubator in 2010 to commercialize a novel forward osmosis water purification technology. John’s telecommunications background extends over 25 years with 2 of the top-selling telecom products globally. John received a B.S.E.E. and a M.S.E.E. from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and an honorary Doctorate of Science from Sonoma State University. He spent 18 months in Antarctica as a research physicist.
