Brazil’s Digital Working Group

In 2017, the U.S. Department of Commerce created the Digital Attaché Program which aims to enhance efforts to advance commercial diplomacy, drive policy advocacy on technology issues, ensure linkages between trade policy and trade promotion efforts and help U.S. firms access international markets.
In Brazil, the Digital Working Group, led by the Digital Attaché, offers U.S. companies an opportunity to participate in digital economy discussions, highlight possible trade barriers and discuss how to address them. Companies from a variety of industry sectors participate in the quarterly meetings. This working group also helps the U.S. government in the development of its digital economy policy strategy.
