Initial Market Check

You’re looking for business partners in Bolivia, but are unsure about using one of our Business Matchmaking services? You know that the Economic and Commercial Office of the U.S. Embassy in La Paz, Bolivia can help U.S. exporters identify the most qualified potential business partners, but is the Bolivian market right for your product at this time?

The Initial Market Check (IMC) is an initial assessment of the market potential of a product or service in a targeted market. The service gauges the potential of a specific product or service in a market by gathering feedback from up to five industry participants and provides recommendations on whether to pursue the target market.

The service is designed for U.S. companies such as yours that need a general assessment of the Bolivian market for their products or services and to ascertain initial market interest. It is particularly useful if you are interested in one of our Business Matchmaking services but aren’t sure if the results will merit the investment, because it will help you determine the feasibility of conducting such a service; e.g., an International Partner Search (IPS) or Gold Key Service (GKS).

We will contact up to five industry leaders in Bolivia, present your company and products to them, gather their feedback, and prepare a report summarizing the results, including our recommendations for next steps. In addition, we will evaluate the competitive environment for your product and service and provide an opinion regarding the feasibility of entering the market. The preferred method for showing your company's products and information to Bolivian industry is your corporate web site or electronic catalog/brochure. You will receive a written report within 5 weeks from receipt of payment and your web site address or electronic catalog.

But there’s more! If, within six months (180 days) of receiving the IMC report, you decide to proceed with one of our Business Matchmaking services based on our findings, all of the fee you paid for the Initial Market Check will be deducted from the Gold Key or International Partner Search (or other service) fees.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
