U.S. Trade Show - International Buyers Program (IBP)
The IBP is a joint government-industry effort that brings thousands of international buyers to the United States for business-to-business matchmaking with U.S. firms exhibiting at major industry trade shows. Every year, the IBP results in approximately a billion dollars in new business for U.S. companies, and increased international attendance for participating U.S. trade show organizers.

Regional Trade Shows
The U.S. Commercial Service in ASEAN recruits and leads delegations of local industry representatives to major trade shows in the region in order to meet directly with U.S. exhibitors.  If your company is interested in exhibiting at one of these shows, please contact us.

Trade Missions and Outreach Programs
Department of Commerce trade missions are overseas programs for U.S. firms that wish to explore and pursue export opportunities by meeting directly with potential clients in their markets.

Trade missions include:

  • One-to-one meetings with foreign industry executives and government officials, pre-screened to match your specific business objectives whether for representation, direct sales or joint ventures in the local market.
  • Networking events with guests from local industry multipliers including Chambers of Commerce, associations and business councils that are influential in the business community.
  • Briefings and roundtables with the legal and business community on local business practices and opportunities.
  • Site visits to local facilities where your technologies/services may be applied.
  • Media coverage.

Certified Trade Missions

The Department of Commerce also certifies trade missions that are organized by state and private sector organizations and hosted by Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service overseas offices. Learn more about Certified Trade Missions
