Russia Country Commercial Guide

The Country Commercial Guide (CCG) presents an overview of Russia’s commercial climate, including economic, political, and market analyses. This primer for doing business in the Russian Federation is prepared annually through the combined efforts of several U.S. Government agencies at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, and the U.S. Commercial Service offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The U.S. Commercial Service in the U.S. Mission in Moscow organized a luncheon for the American Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
  • On September 20, 2017, the U.S. Commercial Service in the U.S. Mission in Moscow organized a luncheon for the American Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, featuring Deputy Chief of Mission Anthony Godfrey and Consul General Laurence Tobey. During the luncheon, the group discussed the current state of U.S. - Russia bilateral relations and visa operations following the Russian Government mandated personnel reduction.  Minister Counselor Michael Lally also presented the U.S. Commercial Service Russia team, key business functions, and new sector areas.
  • On the same day, the U.S. Commercial Service in the U.S. Mission in Saint Petersburg organized an informational coffee for American Chamber of Commerce Saint Petersburg Executive Committee members, hosted by the U.S. Consul General, Tom Leary. The Consul General provided an update on U.S. Russia relations and recent developments, Acting Consular Chief Mary Ermil explained changes in visa processing following the recent staff drawdown at the request of the Russian government and Principal Commercial Officer Heather Byrnes explained that the Commercial Service continues to support U.S. business in St. Petersburg in non-sanctioned sectors as well as the American Chamber of Commerce and its members.
