Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Compliance Seminar

Provide accurate data and avoid costly penalties and seizures

Put your knowledge to the test:

  • What are your legal responsibilities for the accuracy of the Electronic Export Information (EEI) even if you use a freight forwarder?
  • How do export regulations affect your business?
  • What is the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and how do you report your export information?
  • Do you know how to comply with the Bureau of Industry and Security’s (BIS) Export Administration Regulations?
  • What are the red flags you should watch out for or consider as potential issues prior to export?

Date of Seminar: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Formerly known as the AES Compliance Seminar, the revised one day seminar is now called the ACE Compliance Seminar as the Legacy AES applications (AESDirect, AESPcLink, AESWebLink) have fully transitioned to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal.

The Census Bureau, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and port officers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) offer an engaging full day of learning—

Census Bureau experts will cover these new regulations and filing requirements of the FTR, how to classify your commodities by providing an understanding of the Schedule B classification requirements, as well as provide a thorough overview of the ACE platform.

CBP experts will cover port requirements and efforts against terrorism and international narcotics trafficking. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) officers will highlight export control requirements and how to identify red-flags.
