Welcome to Our Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Industry Page

Renewable energy sources, including wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and water power play an important - and increasing - role in our nation's energy mix. The growth of clean and domestic renewable energy is an important part of addressing climate change and increasing our energy security.

Energy efficiency and energy conservation can be the most cost-effective and least-polluting means of reducing our demand for energy.

  • NACEPI / Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Clean Energy Procurement Training & Networking Event, Washington, DC, October 25, 2016
The International Trade Administration is working with the IDB and the Embassies of Canada and Mexico in Washington DC to host a one-day networking event for U.S., Canadian, and Mexican clean energy technology companies.  The event will bring small and medium-sized enterprises SMEs and larger companies that can integrate SMEs into their supply chain, together with IDB sector specialists for an overview of clean energy projects in the region and to explore business and procurement partnership opportunities. Space is limited and the organizers are looking to qualify and select 5-7 firms from each country, in the solar, wind, smart grid and storage sub-sectors of the clean energy sector. Interested companies should contact Stephen Sullivan and Matthew Hilgendorf.
