Event Summary:
On Thursday, April 11, 2013, the U.S. Department of Commerce's Global Design & Construction Team is hosting a FREE webinar to promote the many opportunities for U.S. design and building construction firms in the emerging market of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's construction sector is expected to further improve in 2013-14, with residential, office, commercial and multi-functional projects developing in Astana, Almaty and Atyrau. In addition, large infrastructure and industrial projects are planned for Western Kazakhstan. Construction materials used in Kazakhstan are predominantly imported and, as a result, there are many opportunities for U.S. firms to get involved in this attractive market. The webinar will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 11 AM Eastern Time, 8 AM Pacific Time. This webinar will provide: •A briefing by the U.S. Commercial Service on U.S. best prospects in Kazakhstan; •Information on the USA Pavilion at Kazbuild 2013, the largest construction market exhibition in Central Asia and a U.S. Commercial Service Certified Foreign Trade Show (September 4-7, 2013 www.kazbuild.kz/en); as well as •Insight from a U.S. firm currently doing business in country (past and present participant at KazBuild).
