India Smart Grid Week 2017 (TFC Event) -- Electrical Power Systems, Environmental Technologies, Renewable Energy Eq., Regulations
Location/Date: New Delhi, India 03/07/2017 - 03/10/2017
Event Summary:
India Smart Grid Week (ISGW) 2017 is India's largest conference and exhibition for the smart grid and utility sectors, taking place annually at the Manekshaw Center, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, India.

ISGW's focus is on the areas of smart grid and utility solutions, microgrids, energy storage systems, electric vehicles, smart meters, and emerging smart city opportunities.

Organized by the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) and Tata Power-DDL, ISGW is actively supported by the Government of India, all the key utilities in India, as well as by smart city officials, who will be in attendance.

Mr. Reji Pillai, President of the ISGF, described the opportunities in India for smart grid products, technologies and solutions, “Smart grids have emerged as a key enabling infrastructure to develop smart solutions to resolve India's energy woes. Smart grids are also crucial to the Government of India's key projects: 100 Smart Cities, 175 GW of renewable energy by 2022, 40 per cent Renewable Energy by 2030, electric vehicles (to combat air pollution) and smart meters. Smart grids can help in selective load shedding, for example turning off the load for air conditioners or water pumps in off peak hours, rather than load shedding across households which is what is happening now”.

U.S. products, services and technologies that can deliver solutions for the ongoing grid modernization, renewable energy and smart city projects, will be in high demand at ISGW. Discussion of these smart grid and smart city issues and solutions will also be among those topics discussed during the Conference and other networking sessions.

ISGW 2017 is expected to have over 100 companies exhibiting and over 2,000 total attendees at the trade fair. Admission to the exhibition is free; there is a fee to attend the conference.

U.S. companies interested in exhibiting, sponsoring or attending ISGW should contact, Ms. Pamela Peseux, at Tuatara Group, Tel: (301) 776-6509, or by email peseux@tuataragroup.com.
