January 31st in the U.S. Commercial Service – Los Angeles (West) Office

Meet one-on-one in our Los Angeles (West) office with Sokros Chann, Commercial Specialist at the US Embassy in Phnom Penh. Sokros Chann will be in the LA Area to meet with US companies and share the updates on business opportunities in Cambodia.

Key sectors include:

  • Construction: Several large, on-going projects such as The Riviera, a massive Integrated Resort modeled on the Marina bay Sands in Singapore; multiple skyscrapers and high-rise buildings in need of design, engineering and management expertise; new retail centers, satellite cities and a new national stadium all in the early planning stages.
  • Automobiles: Cambodia does not have public transportation and most people travel by motorbike and car. During the first nine months of 2012, Cambodia imported 1.58 million automobiles. Used cars with left-hand drive represent high potential demand for Cambodian automobile market.
  • Agriculture: Cambodia’s economy is dominated by agriculture. As the country makes investments in ag technologies, US companies have an opportunity to introduce seeds, crop nutrition technologies, mechanized production equipment and also downstream processing equipment. Key large-scale growth areas include rice production and processing, cassava and rubber.
  • During the one-on-one consultations you will have the opportunity to get specific answers pertaining to your business. You will be able to:
  • Learn about your company's sales potential in Cambodia
  • Assess challenges in the marketplace
  • Find out how the U.S. Commercial Service can help you identify new business partners

Preregistration is REQUIRED and available upon first come basis. We will do our best to accommodate your appointment request(s).
